Mount Harriet National Park’s Mount Harriet Peak is the highest peak of the South Andaman district with the height of 383 meter i.e 1,257 feet and is one of the closest forested areas to Port Blair. Spread over an area of 42.62 square kilometers. The forest supports significant biodiversity, mainly the Andaman Treepie, Columba palumboides, Nicobar Megapode, Nicobar parakeet, Black-naped Tern, Sunda teal. Birds like Sunda Teal, Andaman Black Woodpecker.
Apart from birds, King Cobra is also abundant in the national park. , Andaman Cobra, Two nesting marine turtles (Green seas and Olive Ridley), Saltwater crocodiles, Robber crab, Turtles (turtles) and wild pigs (wild pigs).
Travel 16 km from Mount Harriet National Park in Andaman and Nicobar Islands to Madhuban through meandering jungle trails. You can also explore a nature trail about 4 km from Hope Town to Mount Harriet National Park.

How to Reach Mount Harriet National Park
Mount Harriet National Park can be reached from Port Blair by road or sea. The park is about a 2-hour drive from Port Blair via Ferrargunj. Going by sea route is much faster. Board a boat at Chatham Jetty in Port Blair and it will take you to Bambooflat Jetty in 15 minutes.
